The moment you turn into Langston estate, you’ll feel the everyday slip away.  Hidden in the South Devon countryside, Langston has been a place of seclusion and privacy for hundreds of years. 


Feel immediately at ease at Langston, with every comfort of home; free to explore the private garden, the estate’s woodland walk, lakeside sunsets, as well as footpaths that expand the estate’s 1100 acres from rolling hills right down to the beach.
Langston is located in the heart of the South Hams, Devon, close to Modbury and Kingston.

Local Walks

We are blessed by a network of quiet lanes and footpaths around the South Hams, in addition to a number of walks straight from our front door.

This includes short circulars around the lake and fields, up to a 7mile walk through our outer estate to Ayrmer Cove with stunning views to Burgh Island.

Our Favourite Beaches

Where to start… Our corner of Devon is blessed by hidden coves, sandy beaches, vast expanses, surfing spots and everything you could wish for. 

But if you insist, here’s a couple of our favourites:

 

  1. Wescombe/Wyscombe Beach – 45minute walk away.

  2. Ayrmer Cove – 10 minute drive then 15minute walk from car park.

  3. Bigbury-on-Sea – 15 minute drive

  4. Wonwell Beach – 10 minute drive or 45 minute walk

Nearby Towns

Historic market towns, small hamlets, coastal upmarket destinations and everything in between. 

If you’re driving to any of these destinations, just be aware that our country lanes are often single-file and can make it slower to get places.
