An original Devon Bank Barn

Just south of the Langston Lake sits The Byre.  A stone barn, otherwise known as a Devon Bank Barn, one of the only original farm buildings left on the estate. 

It would have been used to house livestock downstairs with the old milking parlour stalls in situ, while having the convenience of hay and fodder stored above. The cows have long since left the Byre and wouldn’t recognise it today, in its beautiful and sympathetically restored condition.

Today, The Byre offers extremely comfortable self-contained accommodation, with well-appointed modern kitchen and open plan living (and a corner sofa to die for!). You'll find a dining area, separate WC and 2 double bedrooms, both ensuite on the lower floor.
