Nestled in the rolling hills of rural South Devon, Langston is a working arable farm offering a peaceful retreat from the demands of everyday life.
An impressive country estate of 1100 acres, complete with Grade II listed farmhouse (sleeps 1-14), private indoor pool, its own luxury cinema, walled kitchen garden, an acre of private garden, a separate, self-contained converted milk parlour (The Byre: sleeps 1-4), spacious Studio (to suit retreats for up to 18), woodland walk and 2-acre lake.

Farm Life
The house is surrounded by an acre of established grounds and private gardens where you’re free to roam.
Beyond the walls and hedgerows there’s a mix of arable crops, mixed woodland, wildlife corridors and grazing fields for our black Welsh mountain sheep and our herd of Aberdeen Angus cattle.

A working farm,
in perfect harmony
Just as it has been for 100’s of years, Langston is a diverse, working farm. Our role as stewards is to sustain the land, to do everything that we can to nurture biodiversity, and maintain sustainable methods of farming for generations to come.
From planting through to harvesting, you’ll spot the occasional tractor cultivating our staple cereal crops of wheat, barley and oats, gathering forage for our cattle, or establishing herbal leys and wild bird food. You’ll find thousands of newly established saplings, and carefully placed wildflower margins creating all important wildlife corridors, encouraging a rich diversity of birds and wildlife to roam.
We take this stewardship of the estate and the future-proofing of the farm very seriously. Whilst Langston was previously an all-arable farm, our integration of livestock and rotational grazing practices helps to protect soil, reduce reliance on artificial inputs, and sustain profitable crop yields. Our goal is simply to hand the farm over to future custodians in better health than when we arrived.
